Single Life and Dating

This section may seem out of place in a “Catholic Family” website, but let's be honest: how else do Catholic families come about than through dating? Besides, the single life is taking up a larger section of most Catholics' lives now than in any generation prior. And, lest we forget, single Catholics are part of a family – it is just more as a member of a family (i.e., son or daughter, brother or sister) than as head of the family (i.e., mother or father, husband or wife).

Vocations & Discernment
Just because you haven't found Mr/Miss Right yet, doesn't instantly mean you need to be a priest or nun. Likewise, just because you're dating doesn't mean you don't have a calling to something other than the married life. This section will help you on the road to figuring that out.
Celibacy & Chastity
Celibacy & chastity means more than virginity and not having sex. Here we help define chastity and celibacy, as well as provide reasons for why they should be practiced and advice on how to better practice them
Self-Improvement into God's Image
Self-help and self-improvement mean nothing if they are not based on the proper foundation and aimed toward the proper goal. Here we discuss what it means to have been made in God's image and likeness and how He wants us to turn out.
Young Adult Retreats & Groups
We provide a brief listing of young adult groups, retreats, and other resources for bonding with other single Catholics.
Activities (to do & to avoid)
Each section will give some suggested recreation activities for each stage of Catholic family life, as well as a brief list of activities that should be avoided as occasions of sin.
Prayers for Singles
Prayer not only helps us keep the communication lines open to God, but also helps us better ascertain whether our intentions are fully in line with God's will. This section not only lists suggested prayers, but also gives advice on how to structure your petitions, praise, and thanksgiving to God.
